Thousands of school-age kids on free and reduced meal programs and enjoy the peace and safety of having plenty to eat while at school during the week. But what about the weekends?
That’s where Backpack Friends come in.
They help provide healthy, nutritious food to at-risk kids EVERY weekend during the school year. With help from donors, volunteers, civic groups, and church organizations, they are able to help feed a child for $5 each weekend! But they can’t do it without your support and encouragement!
You can help feed a friend and enjoy a fun family-friendly evening. Purchase a $10 ticket that’s it. Feed a child and enjoy an evening.
Hunger is complicated. Feeding a child isn’t.
